Bring Your Own API Key: Use Your Own Provider Credits With BYOK & Models

If you already have API keys from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, DeepSeek, or a custom provider, BYOK & Models — a Power-plan feature — lets you connect them and use them for chat instead of spending Vincony credits.

What BYOK & Models Connects

The page has two tabs. The API Keys tab stores one encrypted key per provider you add, and never exposes it client-side. The Private Models tab lets you register a separate endpoint instead of, or alongside, a key.

Once a key is added, requests to that provider's models are billed by the provider directly, at zero Vincony credits — that is the trade for managing your own keys.

Adding a Key

Open BYOK & Models in Vincony's settings, choose a provider, and paste the key. Vincony encrypts it and stores it securely; a Test button confirms the connection before you rely on it.

Removing a Key

Deleting a key is permanent: Vincony states the encrypted value cannot be recovered once removed.

Private Models

The Private Models tab also lets you register a custom endpoint — an OpenAI-compatible API, or a self-hosted server such as vLLM or Ollama — with an optional linked API key, and Vincony can test whether the endpoint is reachable before you use it.
